Defense of the Ancients (often referred to as DotA), The most irresistable game here in my place, and almost everybody play this (including girls). It is the number one of the Local Games that every Internet shop wouldn’t miss to have. They even created a GArena to make it online. Tournaments are even held nationwide and Worldwide. It has become so infamous that even teachers already knows what their students was up to when cutting classes. Cool huh!?!^_^

So much for that, let me tell you about something about this game… DotA allstar is a custom senario for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. Its goal is to distroy the opponents’ ancient before they do it to yours. It is a 5X5 game, which means you will have a 5 man team. Players are to choose his/her best character,  then optimizing it by killing creeps, neutral creeps and even heroes. This game has been living for so much that even stratigic manuvers are already used to defeat one’s team. Teams with poor teamwork will probably go weak which will cause their defeat.

Each human player controls one Hero, a powerful unit with unique abilities and with unique attributes (strength, agility, and intelligence) . In Allstars, players on each side choose one of ninety-three heroes, each with different abilities and tactical advantages over the other heroes. The scenario is highly team oriented; it is difficult for one player to carry the team to victory alone. Nevertheless, some heroes, given enough time, can change the outcome single-handedly, while countering the opposing team’s heroes.

Player are also able to buy and compose items which will add up to their base attribute,s making them much stronger and better.

There’s no denying that Gears of War 2 and the just released Fable 2 are going to be the highlights of Xbox 360 this holidays. Expecting that both 2nd generation is going to surpass the originals. Well anyways, the release of this game is coming near, that is on November 7, 2008 as announced world wide during E3 2008. The game is rated Mature, according to ESRB. So young gamers are not allowed to play. Hmm… But I bet alot of them will crave for this game, there’s no denying. ^_^

Since everybody is excited for its release, I’m going to give you a little peek on this super cool action game…

The thrills and excitements on each adventure she took still remains in us… Now her new expedition comes closer and closer, new dangerous enemies, new hazards and some treacherous myths awaits her and us. So let’s take a little peak on the new game…

Eric Lindstrom, the creative direcetor, first revealed details of the story in the official blog. Lara Croft as always, is going to be looking for another artifact, but this artifact has been told to be the fearsome weapon of the Norse God Thor. She first finds evidence of its existence in the ruins beneath the Mediterranean Sea. Upon this expedition, Lara may put the entire world in danger by unlocking “a dormant force which, if disturbed, could destroy everything.” (watch the Teaser Below)

Since Fable 2 has just been released in North America,  I guess everybody there has their own by now. While other countries like mine, still hasn’t got any idea what the new game has to offer to us… So I read some cool reviews and previews and made one of my own.

Revisiting the sprawling world of Albion more than 500 years after the events of the original Fable. The game begins as expected, about a life of a hero, with your character as a child. Of course this time, you are to choose whether you are a girl or a boy. The next minutes serves as an introduction to the game’s story and controls, and acts as a way to demonstrate the decision making you’ll have to do during playing. Decisions you make shape your character… be evil and you’ll have horns popping on your head, and do good and you’ll shine like an angel ^_^.

PlayStation Portable v5.0 has just been released and it seem they found an issue related to larger-capacity Memory Stick PRO Duos. So, they quickly resolved the problem to PSP v5.01. In the v5.0 update, hen downloading content from the Store to a PSP with an 8 GB or 16 GB Memory Stick Duo media inserted, a message will appear saying that the media does not have enough free space, even though sufficient space exists. Sony will resolve it in no time… Coming Soon.

Check out this demo I got from Playstation Blog. They wanted to give us a live demo of the PSP’s direct access to PlayStation Store, which will be coming with the 5.00 firmware update. In the demo, the Senior manager of the playstation store is showing us how convenient is the new 5.0 update, from managing your account, download games and access PlayStation Store directly from your PSP while connected via Wi-Fi.

Sony has just revealed the specs of its coming PS3 and PSP system updates, which will introduce a lot of new and improved features on the console most especially on PS Store on its hand held platform. Unfortunately, Sony did not mention yet when it is going to be released but you can always check out in their page.

PSP (v5.00) update

In this version, you will notice the addition of the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB. You can now sign up for PlayStation Network, manage your account and access PlayStation Store directly from your PSP - meaning you can download games directly to your PSP while connected via Wi-Fi. Getting games, demos and trailers while on-the-go has never been easier! A sleep timer option is also added that can be used while you are playing music on your PSP. In addition, they’ve added a full screen keyboard option for text entry and have redesigned the background of the XMB.
